WHO ARE THE 12 LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL TODAY? A DEFINITIVE ANSWER

Updated: Jul 25, 2023

Who are the 12 lost tribes of Israel today? This is a questions that needs to be answered, if we are to achieve salvation.

The Messiah makes it clear that salvation is of the Jews (John 4:22). The Messiah also made it clear that he only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel (Matthew 15:24).

Even though we know that the Messiah’s sacrifice also gives Gentiles access to salvation too.

Who Are The 12 Tribes Of Israel Today?

The twelve tribes of Israel is a subject that is often overlooked in the world of Christianity. From the verse below we can see it is mentioned in the bible. I will be giving you an overview of the twelve tribes.

The tribes were named Israel because they are the descendants of Jacob who’s name was changed to Israel after he wrestled with an angel.

Genesis 32:24-29

24 And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
25 And when he saw that he prevailed not against him, he touched the hollow of his thigh; and the hollow of Jacob’s thigh was out of joint, as he wrestled with him.
26 And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.
27 And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.
29 And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

Below you can see Genesis 49:28 a scripture which makes mention of the twelve tribes of Israel.

For the purpose of this explanation I will be concentrating on the names of the twelve tribes.

Genesis 49:28

28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

The wives of Israel (Jacob), were Leah and Rachael. Both of them hand handmaids (Servants).

Leah’s maid was called Zilpha and Rachaels maid Bilha.

Here are their 12 tribes of Israel’s sons and daughter:

1- Reuben (Leah’s son) 2- Simeon (Leah’s son) 3- Levi (Leah’s son) 4- Judah (Leah’s son) 5- Dan (Bilha’s son) 6- Nephalim (Bilha’s son) 7- Gad (Zipha’s son) 8- Asher (Zipha’s son) 9- Isaachar (Leah’s son) 10- Zabulon (Leah’s son) 11- Dina (Leah’s duaghter) 12- Joseph (Rachael’s son) (Joseph had two sons Mannaseh and Ephriam) 13- Benjamin (Rachael’s son)

Above you can see all the sons and daughters of Leah, Rachael and their handmaids.

It’s important to understand that the Most High says that your tribe is determined by your father.

Numbers 1:18

18 And they assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month, and they declared their pedigrees after their families, by the house of their fathers, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, by their polls.

It’s only the men that make up the 12 tribes of Israel today, which excluded Dina as a tribe.

The modern day misconception is that the Mother holds the lineage, particularly in Jewish circles, this is contrary to scriptures.

So far we have excluded Dina as a tribe. The second tribe we have to exclude is the tribe of Dan.

The scriptures tell us that the tribe of Dan would eventually sin against the Most High, with such gravity, that they would lose there inheritance.

You can see this in the prophecies below:

Genesis 49:1

1 And Jacob called unto his sons, and said, Gather yourselves together, that I may tell you that which shall befall you in the last days.

Here Jacob lets us know he is giving prophecies that would come to past in the last days.

Genesis 49:16-18

16 Dan shall judge his people, as one of the tribes of Israel.
17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.
18 I have waited for thy salvation, O LORD.

Here we see the prophecy given which addresses Dan, concerning what would happen to them.

It says that they would be like an adder and bite the heel of the horse rider. This would make the tribe of Dan go backwards, because of their attempt to defy the rider, who represents Israel that Dan is opposing as the snake.

More clarity about this can be found in the prophecy that Dan gave his seed in the Testament of Dan chapter 2.

Testament of Dan chapter 2:27

27 Nevertheless, Dan prophesied unto them that they should forget their God, and should be alienated from the land of their inheritance and from the race of Israel, and from the family of their seed.

Here it is clear that Dan would lose their inheritance and stop being on of the 12 tribes of Israel today. Further evidence of this can be seen in Revelations:

The Final 12 Tribes Of Israel In The Book Of Revelation

Revelation 7:4-8

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.
5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.
6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.
7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.
8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

Above you can see the 12 tribes that are going to numbered at the end when the kingdom of heaven is established on earth.

1- Judah 2- Reuben 3- Gad 4- Asher 5- Nephtalim 6- Mannaseh 7- Simeon 8- Levi 9- Isaachar 10- Zabulon 11- Joseph 12- Benjamin

When we look at the tribes above from Revelations 7, we can see that Dan is not included amongst the 12 tribes of Israel, as prophesied…

Which means they are not a part of the kingdom with their brothers when all prophecy is fulfilled.

Dina is not included as a tribe, as explained earlier, which left eleven tribes.

The 12th member of the tribes of Israel is now Manasseh instead of Dan. Manasseh is the eldest son of Joseph, Rachael’s first son.

I hope this has given you some clarity on who the 12 tribes of Israel will be in the last days.

It should also be noted that it’s not only the twelve tribes that will partake in the kingdom of heaven. Other nations (Gentiles), who keep the commandments will also have a part.

Let’s take a look at this in scriptures:

Revelations 7:9-12

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;
10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.
11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,
12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

This is a great ending for all true believers if we keep the commandments, as they were intended, and believe in the resurrection of the Messiah.

All nations have a part in the kingdom to come if we are steadfast to the end…

this can only be done by keeping the commands that have been given through Israel and the prophet Yahusha (Jesus).

The Lost Tribes Of Israel

When we read the scriptures we see that there is mention of the “lost sheep” by the Messiah (Matthew 15:24).

This phrase should sound alarm bells in the mind of true believers

NOTE: I will only be discussing the ten lost tribes here and not the two (three) other tribes which were also lost eventually. I will then discuss the 3 Other tribes Judah, Benjamin and Levi.

Jeremiah 50:5-7

5 They shall ask the way to Zion with their faces thitherward, saying, Come, and let us join ourselves to the LORD in a perpetual covenant that shall not be forgotten.
6 My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place.
7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.

Here we see that YHWH has a people and they’ve been taken advantage by the other nations (Gentiles) of people.

We can see that the term “lost sheep” identifies Israelite’s as the Messiah tells his twelve disciples to go out and preach to them only, at the start, when he sends his disciples out:

Matthew 10:5-7

5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

This is more evidence that the Messiah was sent to establish his covenant with the lost sheep who are Israelite’s.

The Separation Of The 12 Lost Tribes Of Israel

Here I will use scriptures to help you to understand where the Ten Lost Tribes Of Israel went.

For this we have to fast-forward to the Assyrian empire in the year approximately 720 BC. At this time the Israelite’s were conquered by the Assyrians.

First we can read the scriptures which show us that the 12 tribes of Israel, Israel and Judah (House of David), began to see themselves as too separate Houses.

Here is an incident concerning Solomon’s son Rehoboam who was ruling over all of Israel (House of Israel and Judah (Also known as the House of David). He eventual became the first King to rule over the Tribes of Judah (Judah, Benjamin, Levi).

Unfortunately he was a harsh ruler. Here is the response of those that lived in the north of Canaan (which is called Israel today):

1 Kings 12:16-18

16 So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have we in David? neither have we inheritance in the son of Jesse: to your tents, O Israel: now see to thine own house, David. So Israel departed unto their tents.
17 But as for the children of Israel which dwelt in the cities of Judah, Rehoboam reigned over them.
18 Then king Rehoboam sent Adoram, who was over the tribute; and all Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. Therefore king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.
19 So Israel rebelled against the house of David unto this day.

If your read 1 Kings 12:21-24 you’ll also see that Rehoboam was going to fight against the ten tribes but was stopped by the Most High of Israel’s prophet.

In 1 Kings 12:17 we are told that Rehoboam becomes the king over the tribes left in the south of Canaan (Israel), after Israel’s split.

Verses 18 and 19 shows the House of Israel’s (10 Lost tribes) anger against Rehoboam, expressed through their stoning of one of his officials.

This explains the division between the ten tribes which are called the House of Israel in some parts of the bible and the two (three) tribes Judah and Benjamin, and some Levites who are eventually called Jews, the House of Judah or David.

So let’s see what happened to the House of Israel to make them lost and need awakening today.

Unknown Tribes That Left Israel In Ships

As well as the ten tribes also known as the Northern tribes or Israel, who left Israel, as you’ll see in the next section. There was also a remnant from the Northern tribes that left from Jerusalem, after 720BC.

The time of this departure from Jerusalem happened just before the destruction of the first temple in the year of 597 – 586 BC Zedekiah (Bad King Ruler Of Judah Tribes).

The Northern tribes (ten lost tribes) had been carried away previous approx. 720 BC, into Assyria.

To get insight into the departure of this Remnant from the House of Israel we have to read the book of Mormon.

Yes, I know! you may think it’s not part of the bible, but that’s about to all change.

When we read 1 Nephi 1:4, we see the father of Nephi, Lehi (of the tribe of Joseph) receiving word from the Most High.

In the first year of King Zedekiah 597 – 586 BC…

1 Nephi 1:4

4 For it came to pass in the commencement of the first year of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah, (my father, Lehi, having dwelt at Jerusalem in all his days); and in that same year there came many prophets, prophesying unto the people that they must repent, or the great city Jerusalem must be destroyed.

The Most High tells Lehi to depart from Jerusalem where he had lived all his life.

1 Nephi 2:1-5

1 For behold, it came to pass that the Lord spake unto my father, yea, even in a dream, and said unto him: Blessed art thou Lehi, because of the things which thou hast done; and because thou hast been faithful and declared unto this people the things which I commanded thee, behold, they seek to take away thy life.
2 And it came to pass that the Lord commanded my father, even in a dream, that he should take his family and depart into the wilderness.
3 And it came to pass that he was obedient unto the word of the Lord, wherefore he did as the Lord commanded him.
4 And it came to pass that he departed into the wilderness. And he left his house, and the land of his inheritance, and his gold, and his silver, and his precious things, and took nothing with him, save it were his family, and provisions, and tents, and departed into the wilderness.
5 And he came down by the borders near the shore of the Red Sea; and he traveled in the wilderness in the borders which are nearer the Red Sea; and he did travel in the wilderness with his family, which consisted of my mother, Sariah, and my elder brothers, who were Laman, Lemuel, and Sam.

Here we see the beginning of the journey of a remnant of the tribe of Joseph who came from Jerusalem.

It should also be noted that Lehi was not from the tribe of Judah, Benjamin or Levi. He was a descendant of Joseph i.e. The House of Israel carried away in 720BC, but he still lived in Jerusalem.

We also see that he had the five books of Moses’ Prophecies and the History up until King Zedekiah. Nephi, Lehi’s son took these books from Jerusalem when he left.

After Nephi returned from Jerusalem with the Scriptures Lehi his father made sacrifices to Most High.

When Lehi learns of his heritage he prophecies about the scriptures and how they would always find the tribes of Israel and never perish:

1 Nephi 5:10-22

10 And after they had given thanks unto the God of Israel, my father, Lehi, took the records which were engraven upon the plates of brass, and he did search them from the beginning.
11 And he beheld that they did contain the five books of Moses, which gave an account of the creation of the world, and also of Adam and Eve, who were our first parents;
12 And also a record of the Jews from the beginning, even down to the commencement of the reign of Zedekiah, king of Judah;
13 And also the prophecies of the holy prophets, from the beginning, even down to the commencement of the reign of Zedekiah; and also many prophecies which have been spoken by the mouth of Jeremiah.
14 And it came to pass that my father, Lehi, also found upon the plates of brass a genealogy of his fathers; wherefore he knew that he was a descendant of Joseph; yea, even that Joseph who was the son of Jacob, who was sold into Egypt, and who was preserved by the hand of the Lord, that he might preserve his father, Jacob, and all his household from perishing with famine.
15 And they were also led out of captivity and out of the land of Egypt, by that same God who had preserved them.
16 And thus my father, Lehi, did discover the genealogy of his fathers. And Laban also was a descendant of Joseph, wherefore he and his fathers had kept the records.
17 And now when my father saw all these things, he was filled with the Spirit, and began to prophesy concerning his seed—
18 That these plates of brass should go forth unto all nations, kindreds, tongues, and people who were of his seed.
19 Wherefore, he said that these plates of brass should never perish; neither should they be dimmed any more by time. And he prophesied many things concerning his seed.
20 And it came to pass that thus far I and my father had kept the commandments wherewith the Lord had commanded us.
21 And we had obtained the records which the Lord had commanded us, and searched them and found that they were desirable; yea, even of great worth unto us, insomuch that we could preserve the commandments of the Lord unto our children.
22 Wherefore, it was wisdom in the Lord that we should carry them with us, as we journeyed in the wilderness towards the land of promise.

These scriptures show us that this remnant of Israel i.e. Lehi and his family carried the Scriptures. They took them to what is called the promised land or America’s today.

Nephi is later told by Most High to make a ship so he could sail to the promised land which he is directed to make by God.

1 Nephi 17:8

8 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto me, saying: Thou shalt construct a ship, after the manner which I shall show thee, that I may carry thy people across these waters.

1 Nephi 18:4

4 And it came to pass that after I had finished the ship, according to the word of the Lord, my brethren beheld that it was good, and that the workmanship thereof was exceedingly fine; wherefore, they did humble themselves again before the Lord.

1 Nephi 18:22,23

22 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, did guide the ship, that we sailed again towards the promised land.
23 And it came to pass that after we had sailed for the space of many days we did arrive at the promised land; and we went forth upon the land, and did pitch our tents; and we did call it the promised land.

Hopefully you can see that the Book of Mormon is en extension to the bible scriptures and gives us vital insight concerning the 12 tribes of Israel and descendants of the ten tribes of Israel.

The truth is, if you read the book of Mormon you will see that the theme is the same as that of the bible.

The Messiah Visits The Ten Lost Tribes

The Messiahs purpose is fulfilled when he visits the remnant of the ten tribes after his crucifixion and resurrection.

We see the Messiah make mention of “other sheep which are not of this fold

John 10:15-16

15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

we know that the “other sheep” were not Gentiles, because the Messiah was never sent directly to gentiles. He confirms this when he says he is only sent to “the lost sheep of the house of Israel“.

Matthew 15:24

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

We know that the Messiah never went to the gentiles, so the only other sheep the Messiah could have been talking about are the remnant of the 10 lost tribes that were and are in what we know as the Americas today. They complete the 12 tribes of Israel.

In the Apocrypha the Americas is called Arsareth (2 Esdras 13:45)…

An explanation of Arsareth can be found as you read on.

…in the book of Mormons we are told that the Messiah goes to the 10 tribes after his resurrection.

When we read the Book of Mormons we see the Messiah visiting the 10 lost tribes, where we are given a detailed explanation and the same message of Baptism with water as well as the keeping of commandments.

3 Nephi 11:10-14

10 Behold, I am Jesus Christ, whom the prophets testified shall come into the world.
11 And behold, I am the light and the life of the world; and I have drunk out of that bitter cup which the Father hath given me, and have glorified the Father in taking upon me the sins of the world, in the which I have suffered the will of the Father in all things from the beginning.
12 And it came to pass that when Jesus had spoken these words the whole multitude fell to the earth; for they remembered that it had been prophesied among them that Christ should show himself unto them after his ascension into heaven.
13 And it came to pass that the Lord spake unto them saying:
14 Arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands and in my feet, that ye may know that I am the God of Israel, and the God of the whole dearth, and have been slain for the sins of the world.

Here we see the Messiah revealing himself to the remnant of the 10 lost tribes in the Americas, we can safely say that this is the “other sheep fold” the Messiah speaks of in John 10:16.

If you read previous chapter of Nephi we also see that the other 10 tribes had been waiting for the Messiahs arrival in the same way that the 2 lost tribes were, in the so called New testament. All of this can be attributed to them having access to scriptures and understanding the prophecy.

Just as the disciples in the new testament touched the Messiah the tribes in the book of Mormon were also told to touch the Messiah.

This showed them that the Messiah was real and that they were not dreaming.

The Ten Lost Tribes Of Israel (House Of Israel)

If we read the following scriptures we can see what happened to the ten lost tribes when the king of Assyria ruled over Israel

2 kings 17:1-24

1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in Samaria over Israel nine years.
2 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, but not as the kings of Israel that were before him.
3 Against him came up Shalmaneser king of Assyria; and Hoshea became his servant, and gave him presents.
4 And the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea: for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt, and brought no present to the king of Assyria, as he had done year by year: therefore the king of Assyria shut him up, and bound him in prison.
5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to Samaria, and besieged it three years.
6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.
7 For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the Lord their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
8 And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
9 And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the Lord their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
10 And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:
11 And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the Lord carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the Lord to anger:
12 For they served idols, whereof the Lord had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
13 Yet the Lord testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
14 Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the Lord their God.
15 And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the Lord had charged them, that they should not do like them.
16 And they left all the commandments of the Lord their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
17 And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke him to anger.
18 Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.
19 Also Judah kept not the commandments of the Lord their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.
20 And the Lord rejected all the seed of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had cast them out of his sight.
21 For he rent Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drave Israel from following the Lord, and made them sin a great sin.
22 For the children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they departed not from them;
23 Until the Lord removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria unto this day.
24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed Samaria, and dwelt in the cities thereof.

Above we see the king of Assyria Shalmanaser who eventually took over Israel forcing the ten tribes out of Samaria.

After which the Assyrian king puts Babylonians and Sepharvaim people in the land (2 kings 17:24).

NOTE: Israel is conquered because they would not keep the commandments that where given to them by YHWH, and not because the Assyrians were stronger than Gods people Israel.

After the ten tribes are removed from there land called Israel today. We have to read the book of 2 Esdras in the Apocrypha.

This book was a part of the original king James bible 1611, if you’re still wondering what it is.

2 Esdras 13:29-50

39 And whereas thou sawest that he gathered another peaceable multitude unto him;
40 Those are the ten tribes, which were carried away prisoners out of their own land in the time of Osea the king, whom Salmanasar the king of Assyria led away captive, and he carried them over the waters, and so came they into another land.
41 But they took this counsel among themselves, that they would leave the multitude of the heathen, and go forth into a further country, where never mankind dwelt,
42 That they might there keep their statutes, which they never kept in their own land.
43 And they entered into Euphrates by the narrow places of the river.
44 For the most High then shewed signs for them, and held still the flood, till they were passed over.
45 For through that country there was a great way to go, namely, of a year and a half: and the same region is called Arsareth.
46 Then dwelt they there until the latter time; and now when they shall begin to come,
47 The Highest shall stay the springs of the stream again, that they may go through: therefore sawest thou the multitude with peace.
48 But those that be left behind of thy people are they that are found within my borders.
49 Now when he destroyeth the multitude of the nations that are gathered together, he shall defend his people that remain.
50 And then shall he shew them great wonders.

In the scriptures above we are told that the ten tribes of Israel left the Assyrian rule and used ships to escape.

The Most High ensured their safety as they sailed to a place called Arsareth (this could have taken place before the tribe of Joseph also known as Ephraim had traveled to the Americas, mentioned above), which literally means a hidden land.

Today it is called the Americas i.e North and south America.

Identifying The Ten Lost Tribes Today

Knowing all this let’s us know that there were indigenous people in the lands of America before Christopher Columbus arrived in 1452.

The people in these lands are descendants of the ten lost tribes of Israel. Who make up the 12 tribes of Israel.

These tribes can be identified as the Native American Indians, The Aztecs, The Mexicans and the other indigenous peoples. These are all the “Lost Sheep” from the seed of Jacob, and they also inhabited many other Islands.

There are books from European historians that have also come to the same conclusion, from eye witness accounts.

You can take a look at the following books:

  1. Lost Tribes and Promised Lands by Ronald Sanders

  2. The History of the American Indians by James Adair

Who Are The Real Jews Today

The diaspora of the Jews is a topic that doesn’t get much attention amongst Christian circles.

But for a proper interpretation of the scriptures it is of great importance.

Once again I will repeat what the Messiah said which is salvation is of the Jews…

John 4:22

22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

The Messiah himself being a Jew, correctly Judaean (Israelite), we know that it is through him and his people the Jews (Israelite’s) that all nations are to receive salvation.

From a historical context we know Jew was the term being used to identify three tribes left in Israel after 720BC explained above. At that time the tribe(s) Levi, Benjamin and Judah were the most dominant. Judah is the lineage that the Messiah came through.

Hebrews 7:14

14 For it is evident that our Lord sprang out of Juda; of which tribe Moses spake nothing concerning priesthood.

Now let’s look at what the bible says concerning the diaspora of the Jews (Israel), and where they would eventually settle.

For this we have to look at the the prophets and also what the Messiah told his people concerning these prophecies:

In the book of Daniel, we are told that the curses to scatter Israel have been set in motion:

Daniel 9:11

11 Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that theymight not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

The oath made by Moses can be seen below:

Deuteronomy 4:25-28

25 When thou shalt beget children, and children’s children, and ye shall have remained long in the land, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger:
26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.
27 And the LORD shall scatter you among the nations, and ye shall be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.
28 And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

It is evident that this prophecy had already begun to take effect, as there were now, only 2 tribes left in Jerusalem, 300 years before the Messiah arrived.

The other 10 tribes had made their way to the Americas approx 500 years prior. As explained in 2 kings 17:1-24 and the Book of Mormon.

We can now find out where the Jews (Judah, Benjamin & Levi) went according to the bible scriptures.

Matthew 24:15-17

15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:)
16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:
17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

When we read the words of the Messiah, he tells the Jews to flee to the mountains when they see the Romans armies.

We also know that at the time the Messiah was in Jerusalem was under Roman rule.

This same ruler is called the “abomination of desolation”, as they would eventually destroy The Most High’s temple for a second time (70AD) and banish the Jews (two tribes left of the 12 tribes of Israel).

Daniel 9:26,27

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

This prophecy spoken of by Daniel was to take place after the Messiah’s Death and resurrection, details of this can be seen above.

We are told that after the Messiah’s Resurrection an army lead by the Prince (the spirit of the devil) would destroy the temple…

And from that time until the second coming of the Messiah there would be wars, as we see today.

This army we know to be the Roman army. Historic records confirm that in 70AD the Romans destroy the temple.

After this destruction the Jews went where the Messiah said, which is towards the “atlas” mountains.

Matthew 24:16

16 Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains:

Later on we can find out where the diaspora of the Jews went by tying prophecy into the events of the today.

In the 16th century we see the beginning of the greatest slave trade ever to be recorded.

This was called the Trans-Atlantic slave trade. If we read the prophecy and what was to befall the true Israelite’s, the truth emerges.

The prophecy in questions is found in Deuteronomy 28.

Moses prophesied the curses that Israel and in particular the Jews would suffer after having broken his commands.

It is safe to say the Jews broke these commands as explained above. Close attention needs to be drawn to the curses and actions Israel would receive, as a result of breaking the commandments of the Most High:

Deuteronomy 28:25

25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

This was fulfilled as we read early the Jews and their second temple was destroyed, which is historically confirmed in 70AD.

Today we see the Negroes found in all the kingdoms of the earth through the slave trade curse.

Many were also captured and sold after the Romans destroyed the second temple in Israel.

Deuteronomy 28:30

30 Thou shalt betroth a wife, and another man shall lie with her: thou shalt build an house, and thou shalt not dwell therein: thou shalt plant a vineyard, and shalt not gather the grapes thereof.

During the slave trade there is evidence that slave owners would sleep with the wives of the Negro slaves.

The slaves would also work in the fields and not receive any of the benefits.

Deuteronomy 28:30

68 And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.

An extremely poignant point that identifies the slaves that went into slavery is how they went.

The 12 tribes of Israel were to go into slavery (Egypt meaning bondage (Exodus 13:14)) again (The first slavery was in Egypt), but this time with ships.

This is exactly how the transatlantic slave trade took place.

I will end this here, but its true that many of the Negroes from the west coast of African are the Jews of the bible, i.e. the children of Israel. Not all the West Africans, just those that were dominated by the other African tribes there.

Another identifier of Israel are the “yokes of Iron” That were put on slaves necks during slavery. The Most High prophesied specifically that this would take place:

Deuteronomy 28:48

48 Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the Lord shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee.

These yokes of Iron were put on the Native American Indians as well as the Negroes that were taken to the Americans and other slave colonies...

Israel’s Colour Revealed In Scripture

Another interesting fact is when we read the scriptures the disciples were identified as black:

Acts 13:1

1 Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; as Barnabas, and Simeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, which had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

Simeon here is called Niger or Negro. Now you have this information, it’s your responsibility to wake up Israel.

Who Are The 12 Lost Tribes Of Israel Today?

The scriptures make it clear who the 12 tribes of Israel are today. The Twelve tribes were split into two groups, around 720 BC.

This gave us the house of David, which predominantly consisted of the tribes Benjamin and Levi.

The other half of Israel was called Israel. This consisted of the other 9 tribes. The scriptures tell us that these people would go into slavery and hard bondage, if they disobeyed the Commandments of the Most High.

The book of Daniel confirms that the curses of the Most High were poured out upon Israel, because they sinned (Daniel 9:11).

The signs that tell us who these people are, are seen in the Book of Deuteronomy chapter 28.

Two important points, are that Israel would go into slavery on “ships” (Deuteronomy 28:30), and have “Yokes of iron” (Deuteronomy 28:48) on their necks.

When we look at history both the Negros in the transatlantic slave trade and the Native Americans in the Americas were taken to different lands as slaves on ships.

History also shows that they had “Yokes of iron” on their necks, which fulfils prophecy.

It is important to identify the lost sheep of Israel, because the scriptures tell us that they would lose their identity.

Conclusion

The 12 tribes of Israel also called the Lost sheep are an important part of the scriptures for any Bible believing person.

This point is overlooked by most Christians today. The ruling thought is that it doesn’t matter who Israel are, or what colour they are.

These are all opinions contrary to the scriptures. The idea of democracy, and all people being the same is an unsupported concept that we find in the book of Maccabees.

It is the Roman generals Alexander the Greek (Great) in particular, who devised the concept of everybody coming together as one.

This is contrary, as explained earlier to the Most Highs design for creation. He created all Nations to live separately in harmony, but not as one colourless nation of people.

This theme is present, in the scriptures through out.

When we read the Book of Revelation, we see the Twelve Tribes of Israel listed, and then Gentiles (who keep the commandments), from other nations who are able to enter the kingdom.

Unfortunately today many gentiles, especially the European gentiles claim hold of the idea of democracy.

This is so entrenched in the doctrine of Christianity today that these teachers find it near impossible, to admit who the real Israelite’s are today.

That being said I’ll make it clear here, the Negroes from west Africa, who were taken to the Americas. As well as the Native Americans, who were in the Americas before Christopher Columbus and Europeans appeared are the “Lost Sheep of Israel”.

These Nations fulfil the prophecies that we find in Deuteronomy chapter 28:30, 48…

The aim her is not to demean any other nation, but it is to speak the truth.

John 8:32

32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Within the scriptures, we find no place where other nations preach the message of the new covenant. Instead this task is given to the Lost sheep of the House of Israel.

If you are a sincere Believer you should take this information and tell the “Lost Sheep” who they are…

This will help to further bring forth the kingdom to come on Earth. Check out my article on the signs of the end time here.

Here, I do not teach that Gentiles cannot enter the kingdom but I do stress that Gentiles accept and tell the truth…

Shalom! And share this with somebody that needs it.
